Raman & Spectral Flow Cytometry
Researchers have successfully tested the first proof-of-concept Raman Spectral Flow Cytometer thanks to Andor’s unique EM- CCD camera, the NewtonEM. This promises to revol- utionise cell characterisation by allowing hundreds of variables to be observed simultaneously. It will also make it easier to distinguish between different cell types given the narrow spectral fingerprint compared to fluorescence.

We have just released two new videos.
EMCCD Spectroscopy & EMCCD Imaging can be viewed on our Movie Library and on Andor's channel – we kept them short so that you can enjoy them when you have some time. |
Young Rising Star in China
Andor have been supplying cameras to China for over a decade, and in January won the Rising Star category of the 2008 Cathay Pacific Business Awards, acknowledging business dynamism and success by companies operating in Hong Kong and China. As one of the first Northern Irish companies to establish a direct presence in China, we soon expanded our distribution network from Beijing to nationwide, appointing Titan Electro-Optics (TEO) as our exclusive representative in the region. As a result, sales in the region have more than tripled.

Live Sub Cellular Imaging
In February of this year we launched a pulsed laser instrument designed specifically to improve applications involving the ablation of sub-cellular organelles and molecular uncaging. Our new instrument – the ALC-UVP-350i will help biologists achieve more precise micro-surgery and optical activation with live cells. |
