DNA-binding Enzymes
A group of scientists in Paris, France, led by Dr. Pierre Desbiolles at Universite Pierre et Marie Curie, CNRS and Laboratoire Kastler Brossel, addressed several questions related to the way in which certain proteins act upon and modify DNA, in a system whereby individual enzyme molecules can be visualised by TIRFM.
Detect Single Molecules
The ultimate limit to analytical sensitivity is the reliable detection of single molecules. New technical advances in optical detection and manipulation have made the detection of isolated, light emitting probe molecules a reality. Andor's EMCCD is the ideal detector technology for dynamic single molecule imaging.
