Andor iQ is our flagship live cell imaging software, designed with flexibility and power in mind. iQ - image and quantify - occupies a central role in our Revolution product range and provides optimized control of Andor's award winning iXonEM+ EMCCD cameras and automation hardware for a range of Bioimaging applications. Continuous development and improvement ensures that Andor iQ represents a powerful and flexible core for live-cell imaging systems.

Andor Launches iQ 2.4 (Release Notes)

This new release of iQ delivers support for Windows 7 32-bit and contains a number of bug fixes, with a focus on bugs reported through Andor support. Lumencor is now supported and can be controlled using the Andor Generic Shutter interface – see appendix 5.21 of the iQ2 user guide (available in MyAndor) for details.

  • Windows 7 32-bit is now supported
  • Andor Mosaic now has a “White Mask” setting that turns all mirrors on, to aid alignment/setup.
  • The default temperature for an Andor Clara camera is now -45
  • Images with more than one Time dimension can now be viewed in iQ as a single time series using the "Flatten Time" control in the Navigator Toolbar
  • A new Auto-Focus control panel has been added to the Z Scan wizard
  • Negative Z stacks (top to bottom) can be executed
  • The installation of Python IDE no longer requires iQOpenSource as a pre-requisite. This change gets rid of the warning that appears when installing iQ; and allows user to install iQ first and iQOpenSource later
  • Configuration Manager lists devices in alphabetical order
  • iQ now installs Desktop and Start menu shortcuts for all users
  • iQ will now warn you if you choose to delete images that have dependants (e.g. constructor images created by the Dual Image Disk plug-in)
  • The Dual Image Disk plug-in has been enhanced:
    - Local copy of source image is now deleted after construction
    - Option to skip copy if the remote disk is the same as the local
    - Ability to merge images that differ by +/- 1 frames in length
